Die Daumenstütze hilft beim Halten der Kamera wirklich sehr gut, ist gut verarbeitet, hält stabil im Blitzschuh und kostet vor allem nur einen Bruchteil des Leica Originals. Was will man mehr.

I took a chance on buying this Thumb Up Rest/Grip since there were no reviews still posted and the price of this unit was the lowest of all of the sellers including Leica. I did not know what I would be getting but I was pleasantly surprised. The Thumb Up is all metal, painted to match, and fits like a glove. It is not loose and does not move. Its metal is separated from the camera body by a cushioned strip as is the hot shoe portion so there is no metal contact. As the pictures show, the far right adjuster dial is not blocked and in my camera settings, I use this one the most. Pressing on the Thumb Up Rest creates no movement whatsoever. Highly recommended for the price.

The thumb rest fits in the hot shoe of my CL perfectly - sliding in smoothly but firmly and securely. The thumb rest adds to the ergonomics of the CL by providing a more secure grip point than without, thus allowing a relaxed grip. The rest doesn’t get in the way of the two top dials, but it does provide some protection against the accidentally bumping them - for me that is a good thing!
