Not necessarily a BAD product - but I feel the 2.0 training mask is overall a better product.I got this one expecting it to be more of an improvement from the 2.0 training mask.I use it to increase my proficiency breathing with an SCBA (I am a first responder and wear an SCBA frequently).I felt that the 2.0 training mask better simulated the ‘feeling’ of using an SCBA. The 3.0 feels more like breathing through a straw than anything. The 3.0 also fits a bit smaller than the 2.0 and the original.

I would like to start to say that this product by all my means is not the same as training at high altitude but more of a device to simulate certain conditions. My experience was great and got my moneys worth with this product. I needed to train for an “Candidate Physical Ability Test” to get into the fire department and thanks to this product I was able to refine my breathing techniques, build stamina and pass my test!! There’s also written test on these masks used in certain test in National institutes of health were the test subjects gained a small percentage of performance after the trials. And yes you will hear negative feedback about this product online but I can say it actually works and will continue use it in my training. Stay Strong people !!!

Very noisy when breathing in at nearly closed setting. I have to put the strap over the apex of my head for the mark to work work for me; strap is not designed for that but I make it work.

Strengthen breathing muscles. What an absolute unit. Best £50I spent. Ever. Anyone in fitness won’t be disappointed. Only downside was the odd slippage which can only be expected really. Aside from that perfect.

So I got this to use when on the treadmill running with a weight vest on. Naturally due to the weight vest I would be breathing a lot more due to the excess weight. So the first thing I found is that its not something that you will instantly be able to just run a few miles in, you will need to build endurance to use this continually.The quality and material were very well constructed and once you got the mask strapped correctly it is comfortable to wear. (Just a note on this I would very much stress you get the correct size or this might not be the case)Overall its a good bit of kit that is defiantly worth the investment!
