I am really happy with this product. It is a very nice, quality embroidery hoop and, just the right size for the cross-stitching projects I purchased. It holds the cross-stitching pattern cloth taut and tight. So stitching is easy to do with little or no slipping. It was shipped out quickly in a timely manner. I love the purple and pink hoop very much as they are very colorful and pretty hoops. Now my two daughters and I can get started on our cross-stitching projects and have some mom/daughter time together.

Thanks so much! Comes in handy when I need a larger sized hoop, but not too big.

Es un buen aro, pero podrían haberlo hecho de mejor calidad por el precio (no estoy diciendo que este pésimo el plástico) cuymple su función. tiene buen agarre; lo recomiendo si hacen bordado a máquina de pedal.

I have bought several of these by this brand in different sizes. This item works fine. I use this 8" hoop for my 6x6-inch and smaller projects. I don't like working too close to the edge of the hoop because then I don't have enough room to "finish" my stitches by going under previous stitches on the back, hence why my projects are about 2" smaller than the diameter of the hoop.Over all, I like plastic hoops more than wood ones because I think the wood ones sometimes warp. The only exception is if you want to "frame" your finished project with an embroidery hoop (instead of a traditional frame with a double-mat) - in that case only, I'd use a wood hoop.

I bought this hoop as an upgrade to the previous (cheap, wooden) hoop I was using. It seems much sturdier and the screw hardware is pretty decent quality - holds firm, metal doesn't bend. The inner hoop has a ridge on the bottom perimeter that helps you fit the outer hoop around without slipping too far down.I dinged 1-star because I still can't get the fabric quite as taut as I would like, but it does maintain decent tension.FYI, I received a yellow hoop.
