Great for keeping birds / squirrels off seedlings whilst letting rain in the top and keeping the frost away. Mice can still get in the top hole and ate every sunflower seed. Should come with tent pegs as standard - they're needed to secure the cones to the soil.

Used this protection in the beginning of the season. But found that it was too cumbersome to take them off and re-attache for watering. They have holes in the bottom corners for something to anchor them to the soil. I used wooden grill skewers. They are light and fly away if not anchored.
