This is a cute little rain gauge.It arrived very well packaged, which is always reassuring. I’m not its to everyone’s taste, but I really like him.I haven’t put him outside yet as the weather has been so shocking and he would have blown over in the high winds. So he is currently sat in my kitchen and every-time I walk in, he makes me smile.My only negative is the price. It is a little on the high side. Had it been priced below £10, I would have rated him 5*.

The frog just on his own is worthy a spot in my garden he is just a cool looking little fun guy, and he actually helps me by measuring rain full 24/7.... or he will when growing season starts in the next few months. This really brings me back to my childhood back in school doing environmental science and using rain capturing devices such as this to help record rainfall per day... sometimes if it was bad weather we would measure per hour... fun times.My garden is an obsession, its a heavily shady garden that also sits on a tilted slope so water tends to run down and away from the house. The grass takes a lot of work and to get a mix of fast, hardy and shady lawn seeds going every year just to maintain and clear any patches. This little guy with his measuring tube will tell me how much rain has fallen and if I need to bring the sprinklers out or not. He is going to be so helpful.It is however a very light garden ornament which needs consideration on not only where your going to put him, but also how you are going to anchor him to the spot. I happen to have a few rounded tarp ground pegs handy and with his curved boots I simply painted them to match the colour and then pinned him in place, ready to capture and report.The frog is super cute and would definitely recommend this, even if you don't use it for measuring rainfall you can always fill the tube with a little soil and add a small flower or two, perhaps Pansies would be a great option for that.

I do love a garden ornament, and this one is not only really cute but doubles as rain gauge.The ornament arrived well packaged; the seller has gone to a lot of trouble to ensure complete protection whilst on its way. The rain gauge tube was packaged separately and once unwrapped you just pop it into the slot, so it appears the frog is holding it.I put it out last week, prior to the freezing cold snap we have just had, and it faired very well, no cracks to the tube. I am not sure what the material is of the tube, but it isn't glass so stands up well to all weathers.The frog is bright & colourful and appears well made. A great addition to the garden and does make me smile on a grey damp day.

I don’t have a huge garden but I have a range of garden ornaments, ranging from the very expensive to the cheap and cheerful. I like quirky things and this will be going on a wall next to my gnome.The frog arrived in a box, well packed with bubble wrap. It looks exactly as the description photos and has an appealing appearance. I think my grandchildren will love it and the rain gauge itself provides a good learning opportunity.I really like this item, which my grandchildren can name on their next visit. Good value and recommended.
