Long, long ago, somebody swapped the original 15 gallon steel gas tank to a waaay cool steel 23 gallon steel gas tank on my '79 Jeep CJ-5.That tank has a bolted / gasketed fuel sender.That gas tank was removed from the vehicle to correct / resolve many problems, including carefully sanding / painting the exterior, to resolve surface rust. NOTE: I used many special steps to ensure that fire / explosion risks were addressed, so this step is NOT to be casually effected.Part of those steps involved removing the old sender, exposing the original aged gasket.Fortunately this Amazon part is an identical replacement.Note that the bolt circle pattern is not uniform, fitting ONLY ONE WAY.Now all is good again.
