I bought this to use on my Tamron 150-600 (95mm filter) lens for the annular (Ring of Fire) Eclipse, and it worked great. Planning ahead for the total eclipse, I wanted magnetic so it would be easy to remove at totality.The first shot is a composite of various stages of the annular, the second is zoomed end to show the Bailey's Beads during the eclipse (mountains on the moons blocking parts of the ring).Loses 1 start because it does not work well with my lens cap (very narrow, hard to clip on) may consider getting the magnetic cap they offer. As it stands, I just don't cap it with the filter own, only with the screw in mount.

Used it for the eclipse and it worked great. The magnetic function was great and allowed for easy on/off without having to worry about the lens swelling because of heat.

I used this on my Nikon 200-500mm zoom lens during the 2024 total eclipse. My eclipse pictures were not great, but it was due to my problems getting the camera settings correctly, not the filter's fault. Pictures I had taken of the sun the week before were great. The magnetic feature is great to easily remove and replace the filter when changing from partial eclipse to totality and back again.
