I previously purchased this same bag in Scotland, and it lasted me a solid eight years. However, the one I received in January started falling apart within the first week—the material on the handles began detaching almost immediately. Now, three months later, the handles have nearly disintegrated, and the bottom is also losing its "leather." A friend who ordered the same bag (different colour) in December is experiencing the same issues. I'm not sure if this is just a bad batch, but I wouldn’t buy it again. That said, the tartan material is beautiful, and I love the design of the bag. It doesn’t look fake—but there’s no chance it will last me another eight years.
