The output for headphones on my laptop has been placed on the right-hand side exactly where I need to have my computer mouse, so when I listen to music through a cable on my headphones, the plug and cable are constantly in the way. I refuse to use Bluetooth for music because the only thing that sounds acceptable on Bluetooth is talk radio and podcasts.To fix my plug and cable problem, I got this 90 degrees 3-pole piece (a 4-pole piece is typically for headsets with a built-in microphone). Both ends click into place with no problems whatsoever, and the music flows just as it should.If you can hear scratching noises, it's because the connectors on your equipment is full of dust. You need contact spray to fix that.

It does what it says it adapts the 3.4 mm audio jack in a 90 ° bend. Shame that the used connectors are so noisy that makes it totally unusable with my mobile phone
