This is the Mikuni-manufactured pump (it actually has Mikuni's name molded into the back of it). It is either made in the USA or Japan, depending upon the run you get. This pump is OEM quality, and works well. Considering that a leaking pump can dump fuel into your crankcase and wipe out your engine, it's not worth going with a cheap knock-off! While this pump has a little B&S logo on the front of it, it bolts right up to Kohler and Kawasaki engines, too - and is cheaper than the OEM pumps for those brands!

Replaced my B&S fuel pump with this item. Worked Flawlessly. Happy with item. One thing I would add is a single sheet of paper with a large diagram indicating the connections and what gets attached to what tube. I didn't take a photo of the connections before pulling everything away and it was a few days before the part arrived. Maybe I'm a little slow. However, I was able to connect it 6 different ways before I got it right. I felt stupid because it was so simple coming off the mower I just knew it wouldn't be a big crappy deal to reattach all those connections ( there are three ! ). But I can connect anything in exponential ways that will never work. ! So, take a photo FIRST or tape a tag note on each end BEFORE removing ANYTHING. FYI, I worked for NASA for about a whole day so you know how that worked out.........

Not much to say except it works as advertised. Install was super simple, 2 screws attach it to the fan housing and the original fuel and pulse hoses slip right on. I suggest changing the fuel filter (available on here as well) for a complete install.

Honestly, its an OEM replacement part, and performs as such. I swapped a twin briggs (it blew up) for a flathead, and needed a fuel pump as my tank is under the seat. Plumbing this in was no big deal, I tapped into the pulse from the top of the dipstick (drilled a hole, added a 1/8 npt to 1/4 barb fitting). I used a no name pulse pump at first, but it leaked badly after I turned the mower off. Using the B&S pulse pump, no leaks, and the mower works perfectly now.For the extra $10, I definitely recommend the Briggs model over the no name
